Join us for trainer-led community walks designed to build leash skills, boost confidence, and provide positive socialization in real-world environments. These walks are a great way to stay consistent with training while connecting with fellow dog lovers.

Pack Hikes
Adventure with your dog on curated pack hikes — a little more challenge, a lot more fun!
These aren’t just walks with a view. Our trainer-led pack hikes help dogs practice engagement and on and off leash manners in a real-world environment. Whether you're looking to burn some energy, boost your dog’s confidence, or just enjoy the great outdoors with other dog lovers, these hikes are the perfect mix of structure and fun.
📍 Locations vary — we’ll explore local parks, trails, and dog-friendly spots
🐾 Open to SSDT clients only (others may be considered upon request)
🌟 Training focus: leash skills, recall, off-leash, and engagement
🥾 Small group hikes only — to keep it safe, social, and structured

Please bring a standard 4–6 ft leash (no retractables), poop bags, water for you and your dog, and high-value treats.
For hikes, dogs should wear a secure collar or harness, and if applicable, their training tools (like a prong collar or long line). -
Reactive dogs can attend both walks and hikes, but it depends on the individual dog.
Walks are open to the public, but if you're not a current or past client, a consultation may be required first.
Hikes are reserved for current and past clients only. If you're interested in joining a hike with your dog, please reach out to me directly so we can make sure it’s a good fit based on your dog’s progress and training goals.
Muzzles are always welcome (and encouraged if appropriate), and we ask all participants to practice “doggy social distancing” — giving space to both people and pups to keep the environment safe, calm, and respectful.

Yes — RSVP is required for all walks and hikes so I can plan ahead and keep group sizes safe and manageable. You can RSVP online through the Walks & Hikes page.

I’ll post updates via Instagram stories and email the RSVP list if a walk or hike needs to be rescheduled due to weather.

Walks are typically 45–60 minutes. Hikes may last 60–90 minutes depending on the location and trail.
